Revell Ferrari Enzo. This was built for the friend who got the 427 Cobra. The Enzo is for his wife. Overall a great kit. Body installation was a bit fiddly but I got through it.
Revell Miami Vice Ferrari Daytona Spyder. This was the first model I completed while posting on eScalemodels.com. Really quite an interesting kit - it has a Corvette motor and chassis as the car on the show was a kit car with a Corvette chassis and motor.
Revell Miami Vice Ferrari Testarossa. I was really on a Miami Vice kick at the time. I love that show and pretty much all 80's sports cars. This was a fun kit to build.
Jo-Han 1964 Cadillac. I built this to look like Rico Tubbs' car on Miami Vice. I didn't quite nail the color but it came out pretty good. This kit was nightmare with regard to fit and finish and to boot it was molded in black.
Hasegawa Fairlady Rally Car. This was my first Hasegawa kit and my first curbside model. I really enjoyed this kit and love those wheels and tires.
Tamiya F-2001. This was my first Formula 1 car and wow are they fun. The fit and finish was exceptional from Tamiya. Overall a very enjoyable build.
AMT/ERTL 289 Cobra. After reading an article in Scale Auto comparing this kit with the Revell I decided I would build them both. I liked this build, this is one of those models everyone must build at one time or another.
Revell 427 Cobra. This was build for a friend I work with. This is his dream car and I was wanting to build the Revell Cobra having already built the AMT/ERTL one. This was my best build ever at the time I completed it.
MPC C-4 Corvette. Another build for a friend at work. This was an exact replica of his 1:1 summer car. I really enjoyed copying the car as closely as possible and my friends reaction when I gave it to him. I build for others regularly now and find it a great pleasure to share my work with friends.
Revell Porsche 911 Turbo. Ahh Porsche - There is no substitute. This was built for the Porsche Group Build at eScalemodels.com. I had built this same kit as a kid and there was quite a difference. Great kit though I was shocked at how many chrome parts there were. They all got stripped and painted.
Tamiya Porsche 959. C'mon, you know you want to be like Jerry Seinfeld - he had one. The ultimate Porsche at the time featured all wheel drive and more power than it could handle. Think rocket on a flea kind of power. The kit was fabulous with a motor so nice I almost didn't put it in so I could display it by itself.
Hasegawa Ferrari 250 TR. What a kit! I also got the photo-etch wheel set which resulted in the finest wheels I have ever seen on a model. A must have addition to the kit for sure. The paint is a duplicate of a 1:1 I saw on the internet. I loved this build. Everyone should build it.
Accurate Miniature Mclaren M8B. Yes I built it. Yes I want a cookie. I deserve it. This kit gave me gray hair for a time. Arguably one of the most difficult kits in the world. It will reward your saint-like patience with the most detailed chassis you have ever seen - all out of the box! Included are vinyl sprues of hoses, seatbelts, etc. Fit is not the best and all the added details makes it worse. This kit is for the most advanced builder only!
AMT/ERTL 1967 Pontiac GTO. Pontiac may be a memory but the models live on - just barely. Concealed in this kit are incorrect parts, mysterious instructions, and enough flash for Las Vegas. It builds up reasonably with a lot of work. It would be better as a curbside since under the hood is goofy. This was built for a friend and they were pleased so I was happy.
Tamiya Ducati 916 in 1/20 scale. Typical high Tamiya quality. I still can't stand the two piece front fenders though. They are tough to work with. Builds into a fine example!
